The majority of my work in Washington was created in and around North Cascades National Park and Olympic National Park. For much of the trip, forest fires in British Columbia left a haze across the landscape and the smell of smoke hanging in the air, though it was only truly disruptive for about one day. Among the places depicted here, some of my favorites were Rialto Beach, the Hoh Rain Forest (Olympic), and Artist Point (North Cascades).
